Airboats are used to take you to hot spots on the marsh. Natural blinds are set in the tules with decoys spread out in a protected pocket. Your bird boy will retrieve your ducks. The airboat will return periodically to make sure your hunt is going well and that you have enough shells, cold drinks and snacks. Afternoon Dove Hunt 2:00 pm The afternoon dove hunt traditionally takes place at a close by ranch, where dove, roosting in nearby hills, come in large flights to feed on crops or drop in for a drink of water at a pond.

Grain crops are responsible for attracting millions of Whitewing and Mourning doves to the fertile farming valleys of Los Mochis. Hunt at established flyways where the doves move from roosts in the morning to feeding and water holes and back to roost during the middle of the day.

Return from hunting around 6:30 pm

Dinner 7:00 pm Owens Restaurant Steak House.

Third Day

Same program as the second day. (Hunting order may be changed due to conditions).

Vast marsh lands, as far as the eye can see, are perfect habitat for a variety of ducks, many of which are scarse in the United States, including:

back-bellied whistling ducks, redheads, cinnamon, green winged and blue winged teal, gadwalls, canvasbacks, fulvous whistling ducks, ruddy duck, mottled ducks, widgeons, pintails, shovelers, pacific black brant, scaup, mexican mallards, blue bill, are abundant waterfowl in this pacific flyway haven.

Duck hunting in Los Mochis offers prime water fowling, while your bird boy stays hidden and does the duck calling until it’s time to retrieve your downed ducks. To host the hunters and insure a quality hunt, Bobby Balderrama has selected the vast wetlands of Estero de Capoa and the Lagoon de Ohuira, consisting of over 38,000 acres of marshland, located less than an hour`s drive from the hotel.
